Want to cook fish tonight? Want to do something other than fry it? Looking for a healthier alternative to cooking fish? This recipe has all of the flavor while being healthy without the unhealthy but delicious fried coating and oil from making fried fish. Whiting is also a good source of vitamin B, protein, and magnesium. Also, since it is low in fat, it is considered a lean source of protein. When you're in the mood for some fish, try this recipe out!
Ingredients:
-4 whiting fillets with the skin removed
-5 tbs. butter or margarine
-1 tbs. lemon juice
-1 tsp. garlic powder
-1 tsp. onion powder
-1/2 tsp. Lawry's Seasoned Salt
-black pepper to taste
-1 tsp. smoked paprika
-1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Steps:
Mix all dry seasoning together and set aside. Melt butter/or margarine and combine it with the lemon juice. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Place the fish on a baking pan. Evenly distribute the margarine/lemon juice mixture over all the fish fillets. Repeat with the dry seasonings.
Bake the fish for 8 minutes. Bake on the BROIL setting for 4 minutes. Serve with your favorite sides. Enjoy!
