I really love kielbasa and it doesn't matter whether its been slowly cooked in the oven or sauteed in a pan, its simply delicious! Kielbasa is also one of my go-to protein options for days when I'm not in the mood for chicken, ground turkey, or fish, and want to cook something quick. I usually cook turkey kielbasa but both turkey kielbasa and pork kielbasa are simply irresistible and is my favorite kind of sausage to use for brunch or dinner. And what goes better with kielbasa than lots of onions and cabbage?
Ingredients:
-1 cup sliced turkey kielbasa or pork kielbasa
-2 cups thinly chopped green cabbage
-1/2 cup chopped red or yellow onions
-3 tbs. butter, margarine, or unsalted butter
-1 tsp. smoked paprika
-1 tsp. onion powder
-1 tsp. garlic powder
-black pepper and garlic salt to taste
-rice or potatoes for serving
Steps:
Melt margarine in a pan on med-high heat. Add all ingredients and cook stirring occasionally for 15 minutes or until the cabbage has softened. Serve with rice or potatoes. Enjoy!
