Cabbage is one of my favorite vegetables to use because it can be used with almost anything; stir fries, soups, casseroles, and as a side. Its also one of the easiest things to prepare and cook as a side on those days when you don't feel like making time consuming vegetable side dishes for dinner. Boiled cabbage is one of my favorite ways to cook cabbage as a side beside fried cabbage. Boiled cabbage is also a perfect side dish to bring to your summer family gatherings to even it out with all of the delicious meat dishes. I invite you to use this recipe for your next family gathering or when you need an easy vegetable side dish.
Ingredients:
-1-2 cups chopped green cabbage
-1/2 cup chopped red or yellow onions
-5 cups chicken broth
-2 tbs. minced garlic
-2 tbs. butter or margarine
-Lawry's Garlic Salt with Parsley to taste
-black pepper to taste
Steps:
Bring broth to a boil. Add all ingredients, cover, and cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Enjoy!
