Easy Air Fryer Salt and Pepper Wings

I got an air fryer as a Christmas present last year and I was hesitant to use it since I'm so used to using the stove and oven for everything that using a new kitchen appliance kind of scared me a bit. But, one weekend I was in the mood to make wings for the first time in awhile but didn't feel like making them in the oven because of how long it takes. So I finally took my brand new air fryer out of the box, read the directions and got to preparing the wings. They turned out great and took less that 15 minutes to cook and I was so excited by how easy the process was that I ended up making 2 big batches of wings that weekend. Since then, I've been enjoying roasting vegetables and chicken and am looking forward to using my air fryer more often. If you're craving a simple, quick, and not sauce heavy wing recipe, you'll love these easy salt and pepper wings!

Ingredients:

-2 lbs. chicken wings and drumettes

-2 tsp. salt

-2 tsp. black pepper

-1 tsp. garlic powder

-1 tsp. onion powder

-2 tbs. cornstarch

Steps:

  1. In a small bowl, mix all dry seasonings except the cornstarch. Add the chicken to a big bowl then add the seasoning mixture. Toss until all of the chicken is evenly covered in the seasonings. Add the cornstarch and toss until all of the chicken is coated.

  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees. Add about 10 wings as or as much as you can fit in a single layer to the basket and make sure to leave space in between them. Do NOT overload the basket by trying to fit all 2 lbs. into the air fryer since the wings won't cook evenly. Cook for 25 minutes then remove the wings from the basket and set aside on a plate.

  3. Repeat step 2 until all of the wings are cooked. Serve immediately and enjoy!
