Meatballs are one of my favorite foods to make by hand as well as one of the easiest. It might be because I also love sculpting. Making meatballs might seem a bit daunting at first if you've never made them but this recipe makes it easy for you and it can be a fun way to include your family in making dinner for both the kids and adults. Also, you can make your meatballs as big or as small as you want to! Summertime is the perfect time to satisfy your cravings for barbecue food with barbecue chicken and meatballs being at the top of the list (at least for me). This summer I invite you to try making bbq meatballs for your family and family gatherings. They're sure to be a hit!
Ingredients:
-1 lb. ground turkey
-1 tsp. onion powder
-1 cup breadcrumbs
-1/2 cup milk
-1 egg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
-2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
-1/4 tsp. black pepper
-1/2 cup Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce or your favorite bbq sauce
-latex food safe gloves for mixing meatball mixture
Steps:
With food gloves and in a mixing bowl, mix eggs, meat, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, milk, and breadcrumbs. Take a small piece of the mixture and roll it into a ball with your hands. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until all of the mixture has been used up.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake meatballs for 25-30 minutes. Take pan out of oven and thoroughly coat meatballs in bbq sauce. Return the pan to the oven and bake on BROIL for 10 minutes.
